Mini paper flowers...

Here is a quick and easy project that I found from seeing one like it sitting on the window ledge in my mother-in law's kitchen. It was adorable and you can have the kids help-- or make this completely on their own. The best part-- you will probably have all of the supplies you need at home.

Thursday Gift Idea: mini paper flowers

  1. Simply paint or cover Dixie cups with paper.  Also paint 3 popsicle sticks.
  2. Cut, punch or stamp flowers from scrap paper. I used my one year old's painting by punching the the center of the flowers from her artwork. Older children can cut out their own flowers from old artwork or create new and unique flowers.
  3. Embellish flowers and pots as you like.
  4. Attach flowers to popsicle sticks.
  5. Here is the best part... put a ball of old playdoh in the bottom of the Dixie cups (yeah!! you get to do something with old playdoh other than throw it away), stick popsicle sticks in the playdoh to hold up the flowers. You're finished.

These would be so cute sitting on Grandma's window or on mom's desk. You can make them as elaborate or simple as you like-- have fun!
